Since its establishment eight years ago, Raintree International School in Sathorn has cemented its place as one of the city’s most sought-after institutions for early year education. Location and Campus

With all of us living very busy lives as city dwellers, having a school centrally located can offer many advantages. Raintree Kindergarten Sukhumvit sits on Soi 26, with easy access to the rest of central Bangkok, making facilitating pick-ups and drop-offs very convenient. However, despite its location amidst the hustle and bustle of central Bangkok, the school has been thoughtfully designed to serve as a tranquil oasis for learning.

Set within lush gardens, the school’s campus is a testament to the positive impact that open green spaces can have on both mental and physical well-being. Upon entering, you are immediately greeted by sprawling outdoor areas that enable a wide range of activities to take place, while also allowing for a deeper connection to nature to be formed.

This appreciation for nature also extends to the school’s name, which draws inspiration from raintrees (also known as chamchuri trees). Moreover, the design includes the recurring use of circular shapes, which not only encourages a strong sense of community, but is also child friendly as there are no sharp corners.

Each classroom boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, and are bathed in warm, earthy tones to evoke calmness and a connection to nature. These classrooms are also versatile and can be adapted to different teaching styles, whether for independent learning or group activities.

The school is equipped with a range of facilities that support holistic learning. First, the outdoor playground is a highlight, offering a large, shaded area under trees where children can run, explore, and play while supervised.
