Reports of man inappropriately touching kids near school, police say

Boston police are searching for a man accused of inappropriately touching students outside Snowden International School in Back Bay.Around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Boston police received a report of a man acting suspiciously outside the high school, which serves about 450 students from across Boston.”He’s pretty much harassing students going into the building. He actually touched a kid’s rear earlier today,” police radioed to dispatch.Police radio communications indicate it’s not the first time something like this allegedly occurred near the school, which is on Newbury Street near Copley Square.”Another incident this morning where a student was walking to school, and the male touched him inappropriately right in front of the school,” police radioed.The school has a lot of foot traffic and the incident was captured on its surveillance cameras.As students left school Thursday afternoon, a Boston police cruiser was stationed across the street.School administrators said the same individual has touched “a few” students recently, but didn’t say how many. They said police were contacted each time.The school is now warning students to be careful as they come and go from their school.Boston Public Schools also issued a statement Thursday night which said “we are also encouraging families to remind students about the importance of being aware of their surroundings and reporting any concerning behavior to their school.”Police are still searching for the suspect Thursday night.
